It was probably a bit strange that the feel of her finger to his lips sent goosebumps all over his body. He stayed quiet, letting her lead him into the house and was happy that she had taken his hand. He closed the door behind him before following her into the darkness. Houses at night always gave him the creeps if he was alone, but now he felt safe. The feel of her hand in his reassured him that nothing would pop up.
He didn’t say a word until the door to her room was shut behind him. His eyes looked over to her as she sat on the edge of her bed, a weaker smile coming to his lips. He was glad that neither of them seemed to be dressing up for each other. His simple t-shirt and jeans fit in well with her pjs. His hair was disheveled, but it didn’t bother him too much. It was almost impossible to tame. ”You don’t need to be sorry,” he said to reassure her, “I understand. You are going through a lot right now.” He made his way over to her bed and sat down right next to her. He ignored her last comment and lift up the book. “I brought you a book that should definitely put you to sleep, since you deserve some.” He flashed the cover at her and it read Hamlet.
“Hamlet,” Diana said reading off of the cover. “I’ve read it before, although I can’t say I understood it fully.” She said admittedly. “You know you really didn’t have to come.” She said looking up at him. Diana moved to the back of her bed leaning against the frame. “Everybody deserves sleep.” She said not really knowing how to respond to that. Diana glanced at the clock, it read 11:30, not too late but she wondered whether he was tired. “Are you tired?” she asked, “I don’t want to keep you up.”
